AdelaVoice Corporation ("Adela", "we", "our", "us", "sharethat", "sharethat Promotions Network", "sharethat Network", or "Bidacuda") takes very seriously the private nature of your personally identifying information. AdelaVoice properties include adelavoice.com, sharethat.com, and bidacuda.com. The Bidacuda service is a member of the sharethat Promotions Network; thus, includes in all references to the sharethat promotions network. The privacy of all AdelaVoice users is very important. This Privacy Policy describes how we use the information we obtain when you visit a sharethat Promotions Network site (the "Site"), or install and use a sharethat Facebook App (the "FB App"), or use the products (sharethat mobile applications), or services offered through the Site, the FB App or products (collectively, the "Services" or "sharethat Promotions Network"). Please read this notice carefully and do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
By using or accessing one or more sharethat Services, you are acknowledging and accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Notice may be revised periodically and this will be reflected by the "effective date" above. Please revisit this page to stay aware of any changes. We collect two types of information about ShareThat Services Users: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information. Personally Identifiable Information is information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as a name, address, telephone number, or email address. As you engage in certain activities on the Services, we may ask you to provide information about yourself. It is optional for you to engage in such activities.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is information that does not identify a specific User. Our Services utilizes a standard technology called "cookies" to collect information about how our Service is used and certain Non-Personally Identifiable Information (see section 8 of this Privacy Policy for more information regarding "cookies"). The Non-Personally Identifiable Information gathered by the Services may include your Internet service provider, browser type, operating system, the date and time of visits, the Site pages viewed, time spent at our Site, and the sites visited just before and just after our Site. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is collected on an aggregate basis without any association to your personal information so that you remain anonymous.
We use Personally Identifiable Information collected though the ShareThat Services to enhance the operation of the Services, provide you with products and services, run games, sweepstakes and contests, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, analyze Site use, improve our product and service offerings, and to tailor your experience with third parties. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to enforce our agreements with you (including our Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy), troubleshoot issues with the Site, resolve disputes, perform administrative tasks, contact you, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities.
We provide some products or services jointly with particular Media partners ("Affiliated Partners") or particular retail merchants ("Affiliated Merchants"). We share some of your Personally Identifiable Information with Affiliated Partners and Affiliated Merchants in order to help them provide you with better service and track the value of our program. Sharing this Information will allow Affiliated Partners and Affiliated Merchants to market directly to you should they choose to do so. However, we will only share your Personally Identifiable Information with Affiliated Partners and Affiliated Merchants if you actively provide such information to us regarding such Affiliated Partners or Affiliated Merchants.
We provide some of our services and products through third parties ("Third Party Service Providers"). Third Party Service Providers perform functions on our behalf, like sending out and distributing our administrative and promotional emails. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with these Third Party Service Providers to provide marketing assistance, provide search results and links, process credit card payments, operate the Site, troubleshoot, provide customer service, fill and ship orders, deliver packages, send postal or email, run contests or sweepstakes, remove repetitive information on customer lists, and analyze data. We may also collect personal information from individuals and companies with whom we have business relationships ("Affiliates") and may share such information with Third Party Service Providers to accomplish our administrative tasks.
We may share your information in a Business Transfer. As with any other business, we could merge with, or be acquired by another company. If this occurs, the successor company would acquire the information we maintain, including Personally Identifiable Information. However, Personally Identifiable Information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
We may also use or disclose Personally Identifiable Information to resolve disputes or investigate problems. We may disclose Personally Identifiable Information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law or a court order; enforce or apply this Privacy Policy, our Site Terms of Use or other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of the Site, its Users or others.
We may allow you to register with the Service by using Facebook Connect or other social networking service authentication options to create an account or profile within the sharethat Promotions Network. We may also provide a more typical registration flow where you may be required to provide the following information: your first and last names; your e-mail address; a password and other information that helps us confirm that it is you accessing your account.
We may also offer you the option to complete a user profile that is visible to other sharethat users. Your user profile may include: a profile photo; a display name; your gender; links to your profiles on various social networking services; and details about the games and promotions you participate in as well as games and promotions you have won.
Your display name and profile picture are considered "public" on the Service and may be shown to other members of the Service. For example, you profile picture and display name is displayed when you are a participant in sharethat games and in the winner list if you won a game or promotion.
When you access the Service at a social networking service such as Facebook or Google+, where our sharethat products may also be referred to as applications, you allow sharethat to access certain information from your profile for that site. Sharethat may access and store some or all of the following information, as allowed by you, the social networking service and your preferences:
By accessing the Services through Facebook or registering through Facebook Connect, you are authorizing sharethat to collect, store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy any and all information that you agreed the Facebook could provide to sharethat through the Facebook Application Programming Interface ("API"). Your agreement takes place when you "accept" or "allow" (or similar terms) one of our applications on Facebook.
If you win a promotional give-away on the sharethat Promotions Network, we will collect the shipping and prize fulfillment information necessary to process and ship the item won on sharethat. This will include your postal and e-mail addresses. We also have the option to include your first and last name, display name, profile picture and a quote provided by you (if one is provided) as a sharethat Winner in marketing materials, on the sharethat Promotions Network, and on sharethat community pages.
If you make a purchase from sharethat, we will collect the billing, shipping and financial information necessary to process your charges, which may include your postal and e-mail addresses. Sharethat may also receive the billing, shipping and payment information that you provide when your purchase is processed by another party, such as Facebook (for Facebook Credits), PayPal, Stripe, or other 3rd party. Sharethat does not store financial information (credit cards, bank accounts) on our servers. Financial information is securely transmitted and processed by third party processors such as Facebook, Stripe and PayPal. Please note that purchases of third party credits or currencies like Facebook Credits may also be subject to additional policies.
When you ask for assistance from our Customer Service team and/or Customer Support team, We will collect and store the contact information you provide (generally your name and e-mail address), information about your activity on the Service, and your Display Name. We will also store the correspondence and any information contained within.
We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot and administer the Site, analyze trends, gather demographic information, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We may also disclose or share Non-Personally Identifiable Information with our Affiliated Partners, Affiliated Merchants, advertisers, Affiliates, and Third Party Service Providers for the purpose of managing and targeting advertisements, improving our Services, and for market research analysis on our Services and other sites and services.
We use Third Party Service Providers to track and analyze Non-Personally Identifiable usage and volume statistical information from our Users to administer our Site and constantly improve its quality. We also use "Third Party Advertising Companies" to serve ads when you visit our Site. These companies may use Non-Personally Identifiable Information about your visits to this Site and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you. We may also publish Non-Personally Identifiable Information for promotional purposes or as a representative audience for advertisers. The User can always choose not to provide information, although it may be required to engage in a certain activity within the Services. As a condition of purchase of our products and services, we require your permission to send you Administrative and Promotional emails. You may choose whether or not you would like to receive Promotional Emails, however you may not opt-out of Administrative Emails.
Administrative emails relate to a User's activity within the Services, and include emails regarding a particular User's account, requests or inquiries, and purchases of products and services.
Promotional emails advertise our products and services, including exclusive sales and other offers, and/or the products and services of our Affiliated Partners, Affiliated Merchants, advertisers and Affiliates. Promotional emails are sent to Users who register with us and have not opted-out of receiving Promotional emails. If you do not want to receive Promotional emails from us, you may elect to opt-out of receiving Promotional emails at any time after registering with the sharethat Promotional Network.
To manage the information sharethat receives about you from Facebook, you will need to follow the instructions at that site for updating your information and changing your privacy settings. The privacy management tools for applications on Facebook can be found here.
Once sharethat receives your information from Facebook, that information is stored and used by sharethat in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and you may access and update that information as described below. Accounts created with sharethat are considered active until we receive a user request to delete them or deactivate them.
We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past transactions, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions within the Services. In addition, in may be impossible for us to completely delete all of your information because we periodically backup information.
AdelaVoice implements reasonable security measures to protect the security of your information both online and offline, and we are committed to the protection of customer information.
For user accounts registered directly with sharethat profile information is protected by the password each member uses to access their online account. It is important that you protect and maintain the security of your account and that you immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. If you forget the password to your sharethat account, the website allows you to request that instructions be sent to you that explain how to reset your password. When you sign into your account or enter payment information (such as a credit card number when purchasing virtual currency), we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology ("SSL").
While we take reasonable precautions against possible security breaches of our websites and our customer databases and records, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe (including your account password), and to log out of your account after use. If your Facebook account is hacked, this may lead to unauthorized access of your sharethat account and services, so be careful to keep your account information secure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is being transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Sharethat uses cookies and similar devices to track your use of the Site and the Services, such as the number of downloads, types of Services used and downloaded, how many users we receive daily, and our web servers automatically log the IP/Internet address of your computer, Further, sharethat may use this information to authenticate you so that you can interact with digital images and/or videos that you have uploaded, or enter a sweepstakes.
Like most standard Web site servers, we use log files. These log files store internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Except for the purposes of validating a winning sweepstakes entry and/or researching fraudulent or inappropriate use of our Site, sharethat does not link this information to personally identifiable data.
The Site and the Services may include the use of third party advertisement services for serving or targeting advertisements, promotions, or other marketing messages on the Site. The advertisement service provider may place or utilize their own unique cookie on your computer, and may use non-personally identifiable information about your visit to the Site, such as the number of times you may have viewed an advertisement. Sharethat is not responsible for the actions of the advertisement service providers and does not share personal information with these partners. Sharethat does not sponsor, endorse, or guarantee any products or services advertised by third parties on the Site.
If the Site and the Service incorporates analytics tracking software (such as Google Analytics), then we reserve the right to anonymously track and report your activity inside of our Site and Service.
This Site contains links to other websites not owned by us that may have different privacy practices from ours. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and our Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by those sites. You should read those sites' privacy policies to make sure you agree to them before using such sites.
Minors. Minors under the age of 13 may not use the Site. We do not collect or maintain information from anyone known to be under the age of 13, and no part of the Site is designed to attract anyone under the age of 13. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 18 obtain their parent's permission before submitting information over the internet. By using the Services, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are at least 13 years old and have a parent's or guardian's permission to use the Serivces. No one under the age of 18 years may make a purchase or participate in a sweepstake contest within the sharethat Promotions Network.
Public Areas. We may provide areas on our Website where you can publicly post information about yourself, can communicate with others such as discussion boards or blogs, or can review products, merchants, and submit media content. This information may be accessible by other consumers and companies and may appear on other websites or web searches, and therefore this information could be read, collected, and used by others. For example, if you post your email address along with a public merchant review, you may receive unsolicited messages. We have no control over who reads your postings or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so please use caution when posting any personal information. We do obtain consent from our users to post their name along with their reviews.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you affirmatively agree to such disclosure, typically by "opting in" to receive information from a third party that is participating in a sweepstakes or other promotion on one of our sites. If you do ask Us to share your personal information with a third party for its marketing purposes, We will only share information in connection with that specific promotion, as We do not share information with any third party (other than our service providers) on a continual basis. To prevent disclosure of your personal information for use in direct marketing by a third party, do not opt in to such use when you provide personal information on one of our sites.
